As an experienced Project Manager I can help you plan and manage technical changes to your business and the best part (other than getting to work with me of course!) is that you have the option of engaging me on a casual basis, for a few hours per week/month depending on your need.
What I can do for you:
- Write a high level project brief that outlines what you’re intending to do.
I'll work with you and your team to document your high level requirements so we get clear on what you want to do and why.
- Create a project plan that maps out the tasks and timeline to implement your project.
This is where we get into the detailed steps of what needs to be done, by who and by what date. Tasks, sub-tasks, actions, whatever you'd like to call them - all the 'stuff' to be done! Maybe you've heard the term 'critical path'? From the plan you can determine what tasks are critical and a priority and what dependencies there are between each of the tasks.
- Identify your resource requirements and their availability.
We need to make sure everyone's time is realistically reflected in your project delivery timeline. This not only includes you and your staff but any external supplier resources that need to be involved in the delivery. The goal it to get to launch day but it's key for all involved to set realistic timelines to get there so that your expectations can be met.
- Manage the end to end implementation.
By working with you, your staff and suppliers/vendors I can manage the project delivery right through to launch. This includes managing any changes or transitions from one system or process to another, system integrations, stakeholder management and change management to ensure everyone involved stays constantly up to speed with each stage/phase.
- Train you or your staff to manage the implementation.
If you or one of your team has the capacity (and all important organisation skills!) then you might just need me create your project brief and project plan and then hand it over for you to maintain and manage the implementation.
I've peaked your curiosity but you want to know more...
If you're finding any of the above a bit too formal or struggling to understand how it can relate to your business and project, the best thing would be for us to have a chat to see how we could work together.
I can work with you and tailor the approach to your style of doing business. Unless of course you're the type who writes important notes on paper napkins or the back of their hand and said notes never make it to an electronic device. Then we'll have a bit of work to do. But I'm up for the challenge.
