My name is Karen Brightwell and thank you for checking out my website and services.  I’ve been working as a Project Manager in the Technology space since 2011 and prior to that in key roles within project teams.  Initially I was working on network and infrastructure projects within the NZ Telecommunications industry and more recently on digital projects on a global scale within the health and fitness industry.  

Working in the fitness industry was exciting (and motivating!) as you can imagine and I was fortunate to play a major role in the implementation and management of a global, direct to consumer streaming fitness service (that's a mouthful!). This not only utilised my Project Management skills on a daily basis but allowed me to be involved at an operational level in the management and evolution of a digital product - from design and customer usability, through to ongoing technical enhancements across multiple platforms. While we were part of a larger company we operated as a start-up which gave me great insights into what it takes to run a competitive online business. This role is ultimately what inspired me to want to help others create and evolve their business with the help of practical project management skills that I've gained over the years.

It’s no secret that the entrepreneurial spirit has been part of New Zealand’s national identity for decades and I can’t see that changing any time soon which is fantastic. I’m constantly inspired by people who have the desire and drive to take their idea, whether it be a product or a service, and start a business. On top of everything it takes courage and stickability and it makes me proud to be part of a nation where these attributes aren’t in short supply.
